The Tundra Swans are in full numbers at the Great Marsh at Mason Neck NWR! The swans winter here so you have time to see them if you haven't already. The state park has some guided talks about the swans throughout January. Today on World Wildlife Day, Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary celebrates the release of a Purple Finch! This finch came to the sanctuary when public found it very ill a month ago. With care from dedicated staff and volunteers, he recovered and is now able to be wild again. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to giving all rehab patients a chance to be wild again.
